Is Chivalry Dead?

Well, no, it isn't. But chivalry amongst 20-something females towards the elderly and mobility-challenged? Definitely not, shockingly. Today a young woman no more than 24 years of age stuck out her left arm to be used as an armrest by an elderly overweight woman who was getting off of a streetcar. This may not appear as a big deal to some, or you may not even notice this action occur, but it occurred to me! I wouldn't even think of offering a helping hand, literally, to someone who is slow in getting off of public transportation just as this 20-something girl did. I don't think I'm a bad person--that isn't the point. From now on I will be more helpful and this is all because I saw someone else do a nice deed.
