I've wanted a tattoo of my Nana's signature on my body for a while now. I got my first tattoo when I turned 18, and even then I remember wanting my Nana's singature. The only reason I didn't get it was because I hand't chosen the perfect spot on my body yet.
Four years later, I finally got my dream tattoo. Yesterday I woke up and decided, "Fuck it, I'm going." So I looked up the closest (and cleanest) tattoo shop, and hopped on the streetcar. I told no one I was getting it done, and was in and out of the shop in less than 30 min.
I love it. I know if my Nana were here she would say something like "Oh, kids these days and their tattoos", but really I know she would be honoured. I miss her.

Today on the subway a boy came on with his dog. It was a mutt; very cute.
The boy remained standing as the train began to move. The boy cornered himself between the sidewall and subway door. His dog was super-active and so the boy needed to get in a crouched-position to help "hold down" the dog.
The boy remained in this crouched-down position for his entire ride.
All the while, the dog sniffed the ground like no tomorrow.
One man stepped on to the train, politely asked the boy if he could pet his dog (thatswhatshesaid). The boy allowed the man to play with his dog. The dog went crazy-hyper and jumped all over the man, licking him profusely.
The whole time I sat across and smiled. What a cute scene.
Now I want a dog.
Then I got off at Ossington.

I mean't to do this yesterday.
Two years and one day ago my friend Samantha called me up frantically and said, "Kim, go on pinkisthenewblog.com, you're going to cry!" I did, and I did.

Apophis
On Friday the 13th in August of 2029 it was predicted an asteroid the size of a city block has a 1 in 60 chance of puncturing Earth's atmosphere and may collide with our planet.
Apparently NASA scientists have been following the orbit of this asteroid, Apophis, for years now. I had no idea.
I found this out while watching a documentary about space and asteroids and black holes. Never again will I watch a documentary on those topics. The unknown scares the shit out of me. No matter how interesting it is to learn about foreign things, space scares me.
