My very first class on my very first day of university was on a Tuesday. It was Mark Lipton's Mass Communications class.
I just found, tucked away on a shelf in my room, my Media Studies Portfoilo-- the major project in that class. It was an on-going project that started in September and ended in December. A never-ending collection of assignments.
This was my first major project in university--something i was very excited about. Upon receiving my final grade on it, however, my overall feelings for the portfolio headed south.
I received a 68 percent.
Looking back on it now is causing me to cringe. Did I really write that bad? I can barely read the lines. My seventeen year old sister can write better than this!
But this does make me happy, however. It proves to me, in my mind, that $5000 or so a year was not a waste of money. When I look back on it I believe I have learned a lot in my four years at Guelph-Humber.
I never got this feeling when graduating from highschool.
Huh.
