Some Like the Pot

Here is a screen shot from a home video circa 1958. Yes, that is Marilyn Monroe. Yes, she is smoking marijuana.
When I first saw this image, being the pro-marijuana activist that I am (ha), my first thought was "Oh look, even she smoked weed."
After I showed this picture to my mother, being the anti-drug activist she is (ha), her first response was "Not surprising, considering she died from an overdose."
I find it very interesting how one picture can provoke two very different trains of thought.
Then I went up to my room and lit my pipe.
